Indian Pride Park Closed

UPDATE: As of April 9th, Indian Pride Park is now closed through Thursday, April 30th. An updated statement can be found on our social media channels.

As many of you know, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced last night that all K-12 schools throughout the state will be closed starting on Monday, March 16th and lasting through Monday, April 6th. In accordance with our school system, along with the decision made by the High School / Middle School Athletic Department (which has already cancelled games and practices), and after communication with other resources, we have decided that no activities will take place at Indian Pride Park between now and April 6th. We feel it is in the best interest of everyone involved to do our part and encourage our families to use these next several weeks to get, and remain, healthy. In the meantime, we encourage you to check out the Van Buren / Cass District Health Department (https://www.vbcassdhd.org) or CDC (https://www.cdc.gov) for more information on constructive ways to protect yourself, or your loved ones, from everything from the common cold to ways to prevent COVID-19 (coronavirus).
The player draft will still take place this coming Tuesday, March 17th and parents, or guardians, will be contacted at the appropriate time by their participant's coach. For parents, or guardians, of our T-Ball participants, your season will not begin until early-May, so do not expect a call until after April 6th. As of this moment, the regular season schedule remains unchanged, and we look forward to hosting everyone for opening week beginning Monday, April 20th. Should the schedule change in the coming weeks, we will make sure to keep everyone posted with any additional updates as they become available.
This is one of the toughest decisions we ever must make, but games and practices are secondary to the well-being of our staff, coaches, participants, families, and visitors. We will always sacrifice wins and losses in exchange for your safety and security. We thank you for your cooperation and know there are better days ahead!
