Cheerleading during the fall in Hartford has become a long-standing tradition complete with loud cheers and tumbling passes every year. Throughout its short, yet very successful history, hundreds of young participants have crafted their skills using the Cheerleading programs that the Hartford Council for Recreation created with the youth of our community in mind. Cheerleading gives everyone an incredible opportunity to participate in a sport, learn basic moves and stunts and be educated in the sport by coaches and volunteers who have extensive experience in the sport throughout High School and beyond. The first thing every cheerleader will learn is that Cheerleading is a sport that requires precision and solid technique.
When you join our programs, you must know that the athlete in your family is in good hands. In addition to the fun participants have and the skills they learn, our youth athletes are also taught about important life skills – skills like dedication, discipline and hard work; three important things that athletes can use for the rest of their lives. Cheerleaders also get the opportunity to participate in a sport with their peers and have an incredible opportunity to create lasting friendships that will last a lifetime.
This season promises to feature another action-packed year full of excitement for everyone involved. With everything we mentioned above in mind, what are some other allures of participating in Cheerleading? Cheerleaders get the opportunity to cheer at every game our Football teams play in, as well as the opportunity to cheer with the High School Varsity Cheerleading team for one half during the annual Homecoming game. So, as you can see, if you have a child that is eager to participate in a sport during the fall and is interested in being loud, look no further than our Cheerleading programs!
