Spring Sports Cancelled

At the Interlocal Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday, May 5th, the Hartford Council for Recreation made the sad and tough decision to cancel the 2020 Baseball, Softball, T-Ball and League of Miracles seasons. Please know that we did everything we could to make it work, but with other communities canceling and an uncertain future in the near term, it is the best decision. We also want to do everything we can to create a healthy culture, and want to keep our staff, coaches, players, parents, families, fans and visitors safe in these unique times.
However, if the situation changes this summer, and public health officials allow it, there is a possibility that "pickup" games may be played. If parents and players may be interested in this option (far from certain), please let us know. It will not cost a thing.
We are sorry to bring you this awful news, but hope you understand our decision. Please do not message us on Facebook or Twitter, as more information will be posted Wednesday afternoon, and we need to keep this organized and orderly. A letter has been drafted, and will be mailed to each participant's home in the coming week.
